The JetPower-Messe, that is also held by the Modellsport Verlag is a big success and brings together all manufacturers of turbine powered models year by year. That shows, that the demand for presentation events aimed at specific target groups is now very great, and this applies in particular to specialised areas such as the model helicopter. The advantage to the visitor is that he does not have the tedious task of searching through hall floor-plans in order to find companies of interest to him, while the exhibitors have the luxury of being able to address their circle of customers directly.
The editorial office of ROTOR magazine has developed the idea of a specialist Fair combining direct manufacturer contact for the visitor, flight displays and the opportunity for model helicopter pilots to purchase goods directly on-site. The ROTOR liveFair has now come into being, and will become a powerful attraction for modellers from far and near.
Our choice of site for the Fair is the racecourse at 76473 Iffezheim, near Baden-Baden. This is the ideal location: there is around 2500 sq m of exhibition area on two levels, with large, covered grandstands. The open-air flying demonstrations can be followed from these, and they are directly accessible from the exhibition areas. The interior space features windows of such generous dimensions that it is even possible to watch the outdoor events from most of the stands. A separate space will be available in which manufacturers or pilots can give a talk or presentation relating to their products and models, or perhaps provide constructional advice.
