Alternative date ROTOR live on 3 and 4 October 2020 is cancelled!

After the state government of Baden-Württemberg had again approved trade fairs, exhibitions and congresses with more than 500 people from September onwards, nothing more stood in the way of a replacement event for ROTOR live 2020, which was cancelled in spring.
After many positive discussions with our exhibitors and pilots, the trade fair was scheduled for October 3 and 4, 2020, whereupon about 50% of the companies and dealers registered in spring confirmed their acceptance of the replacement date.Baden Racing GmbH – as the operator of the Iffezheim racecourse – also gave their OK for the event. In addition, a health concept was drawn up together with the authorities to ensure that the event would run smoothly and safely. This included, among other things, the enlargement of the exhibitor area, a controlled management of the visitor flows and an adapted ventilation concept. The planning was already well advanced and despite the short planning phase, an interesting supporting programme for our visitors could be created.
As a consequence of the announcement of the new alternate date, there was increased discussion in the community and in the social media about the holding of the trade fair, which unfortunately soon turned into a negative direction. This and the currently rising number of cases led to many of the remaining exhibitors withdrawing their commitment and cancelling. In addition, there was pressure from some exhibitors, some of whom had been published in public, who did not want to participate in the replacement event in advance.Under these circumstances and in agreement with the exhibitors, the alternative date on 3 and 4 October 2020 unfortunately had to be cancelled – we regret this very much, as the organisation of a substitute event was also a wish for us and the team.
We are watching the developments of the Corona situation and hope that we will be able to hold a fair next year. The next ROTOR live is planned for 13 and 14 March 2021.
